EXHIBITION IN MESSINI ENTITLED: "THE REVOLUTION IN MESSINIA. AFTER NAVARINO"

In the context of the 200 years since the Struggle of 1821, the Takis Katsoulidis Museum of Engraving presents an exhibition of engravings from Messinia during the Revolutionary period. In the exhibition one will see drawings and engravings by gifted artists and craftsmen, designers and engravers, who fought for the national independence of Greece. These images of great artistic and historical value will be projected by the painter – engraver Takis Katsoulidis in a visual narrative, using modern visual projection techniques, in the context of the participation of the “Takis Katsoulidis Museum of Engraving” of Messina in the bicentenary celebrations.

The scientific curator is Messinian historian Vassilis Panagiotopoulos, former director of the National Research Foundation, in the spirit of ensuring the historical accuracy of an original artistic creation.
